I think writing frequently is one of the best ways to stay in tune with yourself if the nature of the writing incorporates personal reflection. As well as the fact is allowed me to grow as I explore new areas of interest, and I'll always be grateful for that. 

But the biggest learning is how powerful writing is when making connections. Not zero-sum mutual backscratching varieties; rather, genuine connections. It has undoubtedly led to some life-changing opportunities for me, but it has led to considerably more friendships and mentors.
